Research Funding Opportunity - Pakistan Srilanka Scientists - 2nd Joint Call for Collaborative Research Project Proposals between National Science Foundation (NSF), Sri Lanka and the Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF), Pakistan - June 2026
Pakistan Science Foundation (Pakistan) and National Science Foundation (Srilanka), as the leading national organizations for the promotion, funding, commercialization, and popularization of scientific research in their respective countries, invite joint research and development proposals from collaborative research groups comprising members from both Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The initiative aims to strengthen bilateral scientific cooperation while promoting the principles of equity, inclusion, and support for grassroots communities in both nations.

According to PSF Ad, The proposed joint research projects should align with one of the following priority areas:
- Environment and Climate Change
- Herbal Medicine, Biotechnology, and Yield Improvement
- Engineering and Material Sciences
- Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security
- Smart Agriculture and Value Addition
The funded projects are expected to contribute toward the development of industry, technology, processes, techniques, prototypes, commercialization, and innovation, ultimately supporting the socio-economic development of both countries. Preference will be given to applied research proposals with clear industrial relevance and practical applications.
